Plus, they are active in the market, averaging 42 investment transactions per year. And, with the help of Barron's, they are smart investors. For example, in the period between 2005 and 2007, when the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 30.5%, and the S&P 500 and the NASDAQ rose 26.2% and 26.6%, respectively, Barron's primary readers' average portfolio value grew by 43.0%
